Summary – Music Camp has been held twice in remote and private Colorado settings. Remote and private could also describe the veterans as they arrived at the camps. But, within hours of arriving, the “walls” come down as they meet others with similar pain, musicians who care, and a staff determined to help raise awareness of their needs. Throughout the weekend, stories are shared, songs are written and sung, friendships are made, and lives are changed. Hear what participants have to say:

“I was told almost a year ago that I would never walk again, I WENT ICE CLIMBING! I heard my thoughts and heartaches come out of the mouth of a stranger and I listened to it and heard myself through someone else, then sung as if it was the Star Spangled Banner. It was the most amazing experience in my life.”     SSG Kenneth Sargent

“I have been depressed and in a dark place.  It was an experience I won’t soon forget. There is moving on in theory and there is the moment when you finally do, music camp gave me that moment.” SSG Nick Denning
